If you want to know more about ways to think about structuring your videos in terms of form (narrative or otherwise), besides doing an online search for topics, you might consider looking at the library's electronic reserve for the Writing With Video courses.
To access: go to UIUC's main library page.
1) Select the "Reserves" Tab located at the top of the main content box.
2) Select "Electronic Reserves only"
3) If you are on a campus computer, you will go directly to the reserves, otherwise you will likely be asked for your netid and password and then click to continue.
4) Look for "ART250 Squier, Joseph" in the list and select the link to view these electronic reserves.
5) This is a comprehensive listing of current and past readings various instructors have used for Writing With Video. Feel free to look at any of these readings, but for Film Form, go down to the fourth selection by Bordwell and Thompson entitled Ch. 2: Film Form.
