Not much I can say about Chicken Licken except that it is South Africa's own fried chicken fast food restaurant and, according to their website, the "biggest non-American owned fried chicken franchise in the world." Their hot wings are really good, although they appeared to have come from the world's smallest chickens. You get packets of "soul't" - seasoned salt - rather than table salt. Groan. My miniature meal (seriously - I think they were wings from Cornish game hens) was R20. A few weeks ago, this would have been a little shy of $3 US, but, unfortunately for South Africa (and lucky for me as a visitor), their currency has been creeping down in exchange value with all major currencies. Now my meal cost about $2.50 US. There doesn't seem to be a foreseeable end to South Africa's economic downturn.
I bet those are just non-genetically engineered chicken wings... no animal no. 40 for S.A.
